Built as a supply layover station during the construction of the Protaris Galactifuel transfer in the North Hub zone. Once the transfer was complete, Protaris began routing its cruisers directly to the transfer and Benson station was almost completely abandoned. It remains active only as a public refueling station for ships travelling to and from Vale and science ships travelling to Trailhead.
